Regardless of being convinced to pursue perfection, we have realized that perfect perfection is a lie, drowning in a continuous state of frustration and dissatisfaction. Time passes and everything changes. It is an unrealistic expectation to stick to being a perfect person and satisfying everyone. Life is always going with beautiful imperfections as we are and the standard of beauty is changing all the time. Beauty is a mirror of nature, as Wabi-sabi advocated, which is an ancient oriental artistic philosophy rooted in Buddhism.

It is an unrealistic expectation to stick to being a perfect person and satisfying everyone. Life is always going with beautiful imperfections as we are and the standard of beauty is changing all the time. The notion of beauty that lies in errors was also part of Western philosophy, literature and aesthetics. Poets wrote about the inevitable (dis)orders of life, which break us, and about the rebirth of forces that solidify in fractures (Ernest Hemingway). Like the beauty of the light that enters through a crack (Leonard Cohen). Like the imperfection that inspires the spark of creation and imagination (Jhumpa Lahiri). Because despite their imperfections, these objects somehow enhance our ability to feel, to connect, and to love.

Life's journey is always filled with unexpected twists and turns. It is a course of growth that breeds sparkling treasures to live our lives. Therefore, it would be perfect for every one of us to learn to love life's cracks and dents in a fuller way. Beauty lies in the authenticity of the object or the moment. We may be attracted to the real, the truthful, and what is truly beautiful. And the real is, and always will be, perfectly imperfect.

It must be a release for all of us when we are no longer hostages to perfection. Accepting imperfection makes room for love, for others, and for ourselves. Slow down to wake up to beauty, magic, even those that are lost in the chaos around us. This beautiful, perfectly imperfect disorder is life. Life, like us, doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful.

Give up to be perfect at every moment by respecting flaws and learn to love our virtues and scars, strengths and vulnerabilities. Survival never ends in brokenness but in healing. As long as we get strong willpower back, the scars and pains will finally turn into valuable treasures and fresh impetuses. No matter what happens in our lives, we should remember that every one of us with different kinds of characteristics is always equally beautiful and perfect for ourselves.
